Mission Statement

The mission of The Midst is the teaching of the truth and commandments of God, rightly dividing the entire Word of God in love to the multiplication of believers, discipling them in love, worship and evangelism in fellowship with the entire body of believers in Christ, answering the call of the Great Commission of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Declaration of Faith

The Midst believes and professes the entirety of the Holy Scripture as the written word of God, identified as the Bible, divinely inspired as men were moved upon by the Holy Spirit.  The Midst therefore believes and professes the following declaration of faith from the Holy Scripture as the official foundation of its called mission.

In Faith we believe and profess:

The divine inspiration of the written word of God identified as the bible.  (1 Peter 1:20-21)

In the entirety of the written word of God in its expressed teaching presented: precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little there a little, in faith understanding the perfected balance and order of the word of God within its divine inspiration.  (Isiah 28:10)

In the eternal existence of one God manifested in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Ghost.  (John 14:7, Matthew 3:16-17)

That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Spirit, brought forth in virgin birth of the used vessel of God, Mary.  (John1:14, Isaiah 7:1, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:27)

That Jesus Christ was sent and freely gave his life in crucifixion and burial, raising from the dead on the third day overcoming death, hell and the grave.  (Matthew 27-28, Luke 23-24)

That Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God interceding on behalf of those who will call upon Him. (Luke 24:51, Romans 8:34)

That by the fall of man in the garden sin entered with the fullness of understanding that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Genesis 2-3, Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23)

That sinful man is not without hope, for through the shed blood of Jesus Christ sins can and will be forgiven upon the confession of Christ and repentance of sin, for this is the command of God. (Luke 13:1-5, Acts 2:38, Romans 10:9-10)

That justification and regenerating new birth emerge by faith alone in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:1, 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-9)

Water Baptism through immersion upon repentance in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. (Matthew 3:13-17, Matthew 28:19)

In the progressive work of sanctification within the life of the believer directed by the word of God guided by the Holy Spirit. (John 17:17-19)

In the Baptism of the Holy Ghost beyond new birth and the progressive sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:1-4, Acts 2:38)

In divine healing as demonstrated and promised within the word of God for all. (Isaiah 53:5, Matthew 10:8)

In the observance and practice of the Lord’s Super and washing of the saints’ feet according to the command of Christ Jesus. (Luke 22:13-20, John 13:3-14)

In the second coming of Christ, to the resurrection of those dead in Christ, to the living believers in new birth being caught away together meeting the Lord in the air. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17)

In eternal life for the righteous in Christ Jesus and eternal separation and punishment for the wicked. (Matthew 25:31-46)
